Pakistan forces kill 29 militants in border operation, AP reports


June ⁠29 (Reuters) - Pakistan's security ⁠forces carried out ‌an intelligence-based ground operation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan ​border on Sunday, ⁠followed by "calibrated ⁠strikes" on militant hideouts, ⁠killing ‌29 fighters, the ⁠Associated Press reported on ​Monday, ‌citing officials.

Information Minister Attaullah ⁠Tarar ​said on social media platform ⁠X the action ​was launched in response to multiple ⁠militant attacks across the country, the report said.

Reuters could ​not ⁠immediately verify the report.
