Israel continues ground, aerial operations across S. Lebanon: media

BEIRUT, June 26 (Xinhua) -- Israeli forces on Friday continued ground and aerial operations in southern Lebanon, Lebanese media reported.

In the border town of Ain Arab, Israeli troops launched a large-scale combing operation hours after taking seven people -- three Lebanese residents and four Syrian farm workers -- into Israeli-held territory, Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA) reported.

In a separate incident, Israeli forces advanced with military vehicles and bulldozers from the town of Hadatha toward the outskirts of Haris in the Bint Jbeil district, the report said, adding that an Israeli drone struck an open area on the outskirts of the village of Qabrikha.

Separately, Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem said on Friday that Israel has no option but to "fully withdraw" from all Lebanese territory and end its attacks, Hezbollah's Al-Manar TV channel reported.

The cumulative death toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon since March 2 has risen to 4,243, with 12,186 others injured, according to data updated Friday by Lebanon's Public Health Emergency Operations Center.
