Kyrgyzstan receives over 220 mln USD in remittances in February 2026


BISHKEK, April 22 (Xinhua) -- Remittances to Kyrgyzstan reached 224.2 million U.S. dollars in February 2026, according to data released Wednesday by the country's National Bank.

The central bank said that the majority of transfers, totaling 208.2 million dollars, originated from Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries, while 16 million dollars came from non-CIS countries.

The largest share of these transfers came from Russia -- 200.8 million dollars, while 12.4 million dollars came from the United States.

Meanwhile, the volume of remittances from Kyrgyzstan amounted to 18.9 million dollars in February. Of this total, 17.2 million dollars was transferred to CIS countries and 1.7 million dollars to non-CIS countries.

In particular, 16.9 million dollars was transferred to Russia, and 1.3 million dollars to Türkiye.
