RABAT, April 13 (Xinhua) -- The World Bank will provide a 500-million-U.S. dollar loan to Morocco under its First Morocco Jobs and Green Growth Development Policy Loan, the state news agency MAP reported Monday.

The financing will support better labor market policies, stronger business activity, especially among small and medium-sized firms, and investment in clean energy, energy efficiency, and export-oriented pharmaceutical industries, the report said.

It is the first in a series of three planned operations. The program seeks to expand active labor market programs and reach more than 330,000 job seekers by 2029, with a focus on young people and women.
