Keiko Fujimori leads Peru's presidential vote with 16.6%, shows early exit poll from Ipsos Peru

LIMA, April ⁠12 (Reuters) - Right-leaning ⁠candidate Keiko Fujimori is ‌leading Peru's presidential vote with 16.6%, an early ​exit poll ⁠by Ipsos ⁠Peru showed on Sunday.

Leftist candidate ⁠Roberto ‌Sanchez trailed with ⁠12.1%, and a third candidate, ​center-leftist ‌Ricardo Belmont, had ⁠11.8% ​of the vote.

If no candidate clears ⁠the 50% threshold ​needed to win outright, the two most-voted ⁠candidates would advance to a second round, scheduled for June ​7.
