Crude futures settle higher


NEW YORK, March 9 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices advanced on Monday.

The West Texas Intermediate for April delivery increased by 3.87 dollars, or 4.26 percent, to settle at 94.77 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for May delivery added 6.27 dollars, or 6.76 percent, to settle at 98.96 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
