TEHRAN: Long lines formed at petrol stations in the Iranian capital Tehran on Saturday (Feb 28) following the overnight attacks launched by Israel and the United States (US), reported German Press Agency (dpa).

Crowds tried to leave the city and shops were closed in many places, according to eyewitnesses.

An eerie silence reigned in the north of the metropolis, which was targeted by several waves of attacks launched after weeks of tension with Washington over Iran's nuclear programme.- Bernama
