Russia's EV, hybrid output triples to 15,000 units in 2025

MOSCOW, Feb. 11 (Xinhua) -- Russia's production of electric vehicles and hybrids tripled year on year to 15,000 units in 2025, Russian Industry and Trade Minister Anton Alikhanov said Wednesday.

According to Alikhanov, electric vehicles and hybrids have already accounted for 6 percent of the Russian automobile market.

Russian automotive analytical agency Autostat earlier noted that the number of public electric vehicle charging stations in the country had reached more than 6,400 by November.

On average, each public charging station in Russia serves about 12 battery electric vehicles and 15 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, it added.
