U.S. dollar ticks down


NEW YORK, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar fell in late trading on Monday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, decreased 0.04 percent to 100.144 at 3 p.m. (2000 GMT).

In late New York trading, the euro rose to 1.1528 dollars from 1.1513 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound increased to 1.3109 dollars from 1.3103 U.S. dollars in the previous session.

The U.S. dollar bought 156.74 Japanese yen, higher than 156.33 Japanese yen in the previous session. The U.S. dollar fell to 0.8077 Swiss francs from 0.8078 Swiss francs, and it added to 1.4108 Canadian dollars from 1.4094 Canadian dollars. The U.S. dollar decreased to 9.5449 Swedish kronor from 9.5535 Swedish kronor.
