U.S. dollar ticks down


NEW YORK, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar fell in late trading on Thursday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, lost 0.07 percent to 100.159 at 3 p.m. (2000 GMT).

In late New York trading, the euro added to 1.1538 dollars from 1.1521 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound advanced to 1.3087 dollars from 1.3046 dollars in the previous session.

The U.S. dollar bought 157.54 Japanese yen, higher than 157.03 Japanese yen of the previous session. The U.S. dollar decreased to 0.8054 Swiss francs from 0.8064 Swiss francs, and it rose to 1.4091 Canadian dollars from 1.4057 Canadian dollars. The U.S. dollar dropped to 9.5446 Swedish kronor from 9.5628 Swedish kronor.
