U.S. dollar ticks down


NEW YORK, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar fell in late trading on Thursday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, decreased 0.34 percent to 99.156 at 3 p.m. (2000 GMT).

In late New York trading, the euro rose to 1.1635 dollars from 1.1586 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound added to 1.3190 dollars from 1.3130 dollars in the previous session.

The U.S. dollar bought 154.47 Japanese yen, lower than 154.72 Japanese yen in the previous session. The U.S. dollar slipped to 0.7927 Swiss francs from 0.7978 Swiss francs, and it was up to 1.4033 Canadian dollars from 1.3998 Canadian dollars. The U.S. dollar decreased to 9.3983 Swedish kronor from 9.4493 Swedish kronor.
