U.S. dollar ticks down


NEW YORK, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar fell in late trading on Monday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, decreased 0.02 percent to 99.589 at 3 p.m. (2000 GMT).

In late New York trading, the euro declined to 1.1561 dollars from 1.1567 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound rose to 1.3180 dollars from 1.3166 dollars in the previous session.

The U.S. dollar bought 154.07 Japanese yen, higher than 153.34 Japanese yen in the previous session. The U.S. dollar was down to 0.8048 Swiss francs from 0.8050 Swiss francs, and it fell to 1.4017 Canadian dollars from 1.4044 Canadian dollars. The U.S. dollar slipped to 9.5075 Swedish kronor from 9.5292 Swedish kronor.
