Bangladesh Army announces post-general election return to barracks

DHAKA, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- The Bangladesh Army said Wednesday that it will go back to its barracks after the country's 13th general election slated for early next year.

Lieutenant General Md Mainur Rahman, general officer commanding of the Army Training and Doctrine Command at Army Headquarters, made the announcement during a news conference in Dhaka on Wednesday, saying that "The army will go back to its barracks after the election is over."
