5.6-magnitude quake hits NW China's Gansu


LANZHOU, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- A 5.6-magnitude earthquake struck Longxi County in Dingxi City in northwest China's Gansu Province at 5:49 a.m. Saturday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at 34.91 degrees north latitude and 104.58 degrees east longitude. The earthquake struck at a depth of 10 km, the CENC said.
