THE HAGUE, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- Dutch airline KLM said on Monday that it will cancel 119 flights and reschedule dozens more on Wednesday as ground crew stage their third strike this month in a pay dispute.

Unions FNV and CNV have called on baggage handlers, check-in staff and other ground service teams to stop work for several hours at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport. The airline said most of the affected flights are short-haul services within Europe.

The walkout follows two shorter strikes earlier in September. KLM warned passengers to expect delays, schedule changes and possible cancellations, but did not say how many travelers would be affected.

The airline said it regrets the disruption and urged travelers to check its website for the latest flight information.

The unions signaled that another eight-hour strike is planned for next week if no agreement is reached.
