World expects more Chinese films to present modern China: experts at Venice Film Festival

VENICE, Italy, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Audiences worldwide are eager to see more films from China at international film festivals, showcasing contemporary Chinese culture and stories, said many experts during the 82nd Venice Film Festival.

This year's festival features a growing number of Chinese works across different sections. "It's like a comeback of Chinese cinema on the international stage, which is very good. We have been missing Chinese films," said Alberto Barbera, director of the festival, in an interview with Xinhua.
