Russia's new car sales down 25 pct in first 8 months of 2025


MOSCOW, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Russia's Ministry of Industry and Trade reported on Tuesday that sales of new cars in the country fell 25 percent in the January-August period of 2025.

According to the ministry, the sales of new cars in Russia totalled 877,600 units, including passenger cars, light commercial vehicles (LCVs), trucks and buses, and sales of domestically produced new cars declined 6 percent to 483,000 units.
