Foreign exchange transactions between banks, individuals in Uzbekistan up 24 pct in H1


TASHKENT, July 18 (Xinhua) -- The total amount of foreign exchange transactions between banks and individuals in Uzbekistan reached 14.5 billion U.S. dollars in the first six months of 2025, marking a 24 percent increase year on year, according to media reports Friday.

In the first half of this year, banks purchased 9.1 billion dollars in foreign currency from the public, up 27 percent year on year, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan said.
