U.S. crude oil inventories down last week: API

HOUSTON, June 24 (Xinhua) -- The American Petroleum Institute (API) on Tuesday reported a decrease of 4.277 million barrels of crude oil in U.S. inventories for the week ending June 20.

Analysts expect a drop of 0.600 million barrels for this week.

The API reported a decline of 10.133 million barrels in the previous week.

Oil prices dropped around 6 percent on Tuesday, hitting a two-week low amid oil supply disruptions in the Middle East.

Brent crude fell 6.1 percent to 67.14 U.S. dollars a barrel. West Texas Intermediate crude fell 6 percent to 64.37 dollars a barrel.
