India's exports rise 5.75 pct in April-May

NEW DELHI, June 16 (Xinhua) -- India's cumulative exports, including merchandise and services, during April-May 2025 were estimated at 142.43 billion U.S. dollars, up 5.75 percent over the same period last year, according to the federal Ministry of Commerce and Industry on Monday.

The country's trade deficit for April-May widened to 17.14 billion dollars from 15.12 billion dollars recorded a year ago.

The total value of merchandise exports in April-May 2025 was 77.19 billion dollars, compared to 74.89 billion dollars in April-May 2024.
