Crude futures settle lower

NEW YORK, June 16 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices fell on Monday.

The West Texas Intermediate for July delivery dropped U.S. 1.21 dollars, or 1.66 percent, to settle at 71.77 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for August delivery decreased 1.00 dollar, or 1.35 percent, to settle at 73.23 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
