Lack of human resources main concern for Malta businesses: survey

VALLETTA, April 28 (Xinhua) -- Malta's small and medium-sized enterprises are most concerned with the lack of human resources they need to grow their businesses, according to a survey published on Monday.

The quarterly poll, by the Malta Chamber for SMEs, found that the business community was also worried about economic problems and governance issues.

The survey of over 400 businesses highlights a persistent employee shortage as the most significant obstacle facing Malta's small and medium businesses, with 43 percent of respondents identifying it as their primary concern.

The survey reveals inflation as another significant concern, mentioned by almost a fifth of businesses as a major challenge.

Asked about artificial intelligence, just over half the businesses questioned said they were already using AI tools in daily operations.
