SINGAPORE (Reuters) - Singapore will hold a national election on Saturday, May 3, the election commission said on Tuesday, with the ruling People's Action Party set to extend its uninterrupted run in power since the city-state's independence in 1965.

The vote will be the first electoral test for Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, who took over from long-time premier Lee Hsien Loong as leader of the PAP in May 2024.
