GAZA, April 9 (Xinhua) -- In the southern Gaza Strip town of Khuza'a, 41-year-old Hussam Dalloul Qudeih contemplated his future as he watched the sunset from a school-turned-shelter, with the ongoing Israeli war affecting every aspect of his life.
"We are the people of this land. Our roots run deep," Qudeih told Xinhua. "Even if we sleep beneath broken ceilings and walk on shattered glass, we will not leave."
