U.S. stocks close mixed

NEW YORK, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended mixed on Monday.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 33.19 points, or 0.08 percent, to 43,461.21. The S&P 500 sank 29.88 points, or 0.50 percent, to 5,983.25. The Nasdaq Composite Index shed 237.08 points, or 1.21 percent, to 19,286.92.
