OTTAWA, Jan. 28 (Xinhua) -- The Canadian federal government announced on Tuesday it will continue to support Canada's shift to a net-zero economy by investing more in zero-emission vehicles, battery technologies and semiconductors.

According to a news release issued by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, the federal government will partner with the Ontario provincial government to fund Linamar Corporation to support its Innovation Driving Green Technology Project and accelerate the development of green technologies in the automotive sector, such as electric vehicle (EV) parts manufacturing and semiconductor packaging methods for EV batteries.
