Crude futures settle lower


NEW YORK, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices fell on Thursday.

The West Texas Intermediate for March delivery lost 82 cents, or 1.09 percent, to settle at 74.62 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for March delivery decreased 71 cents, or 0.9 percent, to settle at 78.29 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
