Shooting on highway injures two in northern California


SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- Two people were injured in a shooting late Sunday on Highway 24 in Orinda, the U.S. state of California, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The shooting was reported around 10:30 p.m. on the eastbound lanes of the highway in Orinda, CHP officials said Monday in a statement.

Two occupants were taken to a hospital for injuries, the CHP said.

Detectives were working to find a suspect and motive and vehicle involved in the shooting.
