U.S. dollar ticks up


NEW YORK, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar advanced in late trading on Tuesday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, gained 0.18 percent to 107.006 at 3:00 p.m. (2000 GMT).

In late New York trading, the euro dropped to 1.0473 U.S. dollars from 1.0506 U.S. dollars in the previous session, and the British pound lost to 1.2546 U.S. dollars from 1.2575 U.S. dollars in the previous session.

The U.S. dollar bought 153.11 Japanese yen, lower than 154.14 Japanese yen of the previous session. The U.S. dollar added to 0.8873 Swiss francs from 0.8857 Swiss francs, and it increased to 1.4062 Canadian dollars from 1.3978 Canadian dollars. The U.S. dollar was up to 11.0074 Swedish kronor from 10.9785 Swedish kronor.
