U.S. dollar ticks down


NEW YORK, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar weakened in late trading on Monday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, decreased by 0.69 percent to 106.817 at 3:00 p.m. (2000 GMT).

In late New York trading, the euro rose to 1.0506 U.S. dollars from 1.0411 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound added to 1.2575 dollars from 1.2525 dollars in the previous session.

The U.S. dollar bought 154.14 Japanese yen, lower than 154.81 Japanese yen of the previous session. The U.S. dollar dropped to 0.8857 Swiss francs from 0.8945 Swiss francs, and it declined to 1.3978 Canadian dollars from 1.3981 Canadian dollars. The U.S. dollar fell to 10.9785 Swedish Kronor from 11.0449 Swedish Kronor.
