U.S. stocks close mixed


NEW YORK, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended mixed on Wednesday.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 139.53 points, or 0.32 percent, to 43,408.47. The S&P 500 added 0.13 points, or 0.00 percent, to 5,917.11. The Nasdaq Composite Index shed 21.33 points, or 0.11 percent, to 18,966.14.

Six of the 11 primary S&P 500 sectors ended in green, with health and energy leading the gainers by going up 1.18 percent and 1.00 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, consumer discretionary and financials led the laggards by dropping 0.57 percent and 0.28 percent, respectively.
