British Airways extends flight suspension to Israel

JERUSALEM, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- Flagship airline British Airways announced on Monday that it has extended the suspension of flights to Israel until the end of March 2025.

In late September, the British airline suspended flights between London's Heathrow Airport and Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv for three days due to the security escalation in the region, but it has not resumed operations in Israel since then.

The airline stated that the current flight suspension until the end of March "will give greater certainty to our customers, who we're contacting to advise them of their options, including a full refund."

Another British carrier, Virgin Atlantic, also announced earlier this month that its flight suspension to Israel will be extended until the end of March.
