Belgian animal park Pairi Daiza named Best Zoo in Europe

BRUSSELS, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- Pairi Daiza, a Belgian animal park, has been named "Best Zoo in Europe" for the second year in a row by Parkscout.de's German tourism jury, the park announced Wednesday.

The jury praised the park's exceptional animal welfare and thematic development.

Located in Brugelette, Belgium, Pairi Daiza outranked top zoos like Spain's Loro Parque and Germany's Leipzig Zoo. A highlight of the park is its giant panda family, including three cubs born since 2016.

Attracting over 2.3 million visitors annually, Pairi Daiza also supports the local economy with nearly 700 employees and 1,300 business partnerships.
