Crude futures settle lower


NEW YORK, July 22 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices inched down on Monday.

The West Texas Intermediate for August delivery lost 35 cents, or 0.44 percent, to settle at 79.78 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for September delivery decreased by 23 cents, or 0.28 percent, to settle at 82.4 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
