OTTAWA, April 23 (Xinhua) -- A new round of negotiations for a legally binding international treaty to eliminate plastic pollution must make meaningful progress, the head of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) said Tuesday.
The UN event, the fourth session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC-4), is being held in the capital city of Ottawa from April 23 to April 29 to advance the development of the global agreement on plastic pollution by the end of 2024.
