LONDON, March 28 (Xinhua) -- More than 600 Border Force officers at London's Heathrow Airport, the busiest airport in the United Kingdom (UK), will take strike action in April, the Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) said on Thursday.

The officers will start a four-day strike from April 11, including an entire weekend, amid a dispute over shift patterns.

According to a PCS statement, its members who carry out immigration controls and passport checks at Heathrow Airport voted to walk out last week in protest against a new roster and imposed changes to shift patterns.

PCS said the changes could see about 250 staff forced out of their jobs by the end of April and will particularly affect workers with disabilities or those with caring responsibilities.
