Crude futures settle lower


NEW YORK, March 4 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices fell on Monday.

The West Texas Intermediate for April delivery decreased 1.23 U.S. dollars, or 1.54 percent, to settle at 78.74 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for May delivery dropped to 75 cents, or 0.9 percent, to settle at 82.8 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
