U.S. stocks close higher

NEW YORK, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended higher on Friday.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 130.49 points, or 0.36 percent, to 36,247.87. The S&P 500 added 18.78 points, or 0.41 percent, to 4,604.37. The Nasdaq Composite Index increased by 63.98 points, or 0.45 percent, to 14,403.97.
