Egyptian official says restoration work in full swing to turn historic Cairo into "open museum"

CAIRO, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- The Egyptian government is racing against time to restore historic Cairo with the goal of preserving its archeological characteristics and turning it into "an open museum," said Khaled Siddiq, board chairman of Egypt's Urban Development Fund.
