KAMPALA, May 25 (Xinhua) -- Uganda and Tanzania leaders on Thursday commissioned a transboundary hydropower plant aimed to spur economic development and promote regional cooperation.
President Yoweri Museveni and his Tanzanian counterpart Samia Suluhu Hassan launched the 16 megawatts (MW) transboundary Kikagati-Murongo Hydropower Plant in the western Ugandan district of Isingiro.
