U.S. dollar ticks down

NEW YORK, Jan. 13 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar inched lower in late trading on Friday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, fell 0.08 percent to 102.2110 at 3:00 p.m. (2000 GMT).
