U.S. dollar ticks down


NEW YORK, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar fell in late trading on Thursday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, decreased 0.87 percent to 102.2910 at 3:00 p.m. (2000 GMT).
