Morocco stun Belgium at World Cup (updated-1)

DOHA, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- Morocco pulled off another World Cup upset on Sunday as the African side shocked Belgium 2-0 in Group F actions.

Morocco's last World Cup triumph came in 1998 as they defeated Scotland 3-0.

This is only Morocco's third win in World Cup history with the first coming in 1986 when they edged past Portugal 3-1.

Morocco broke the deadlock in the 73rd minute from Abdelhamid Sabiri's free-kick. The Sampdoria's midfielder scored the goal just minutes after he was sent on as a substitute.

It seemed much like a mistake from Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, whose positioning was questioned.

Zakaria Aboukhlal, also a substitute in the game, added Morocco's second in stoppage time to send the throngs of fans wild in Al Thumama Stadium.
