Urgent: Dow plunges over 1,000 points as sell-off deepens

NEW YORK, May 18 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks fell sharply on Wednesday with the Dow tumbling more than 1,000 points in intraday trading, as sell-off intensified on Wall Street amid fears over inflation.
