Bangladesh's per capita income projected to reach nearly 3,000 USD

DHAKA, May 10 (Xinhua) -- Bangladesh's per capita income would reach nearly 3,000 U.S. dollars in the fiscal year 2021-22 (July 2021-June 2022), according to a provisional estimate by the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS).

"Per capita income in 2021-2022 fiscal year rose to 2,824 U.S. dollars. The figure stood at 2,591 dollars in the 2020-2021 fiscal year (July 2020-June 2021)," Bangladeshi Planning Minister M. A. Mannan quoted the data at a press conference on Tuesday.
