CHICAGO, Jan. 6 (Xinhua) -- Gold futures on the COMEX division of the New York Mercantile Exchange slumped on Wednesday as U.S. 10-year Treasury yields jumped above one percent for the first time since March.
The most active gold contract for February delivery slumped 45.8 U.S. dollars, or 2.34 percent, to close at 1,908.6 dollars per ounce.
