KIEV, Jan. 5 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine's Ministry of Finance announced that the state budget deficit in 2020 amounted to 215.5 billion hryvnia (about 7.6 billion U.S. dollars) with maximum deficit approved by the budget law to be 274.5 billion hryvnia (about 9.7 billion U.S. dollars), Ukrinform news agency reported on Tuesday.
According to the agency's press service, the actual state borrowings amounted to 621.5 billion hryvnia (about 21.9 billion U.S. dollars) and payments on public debt repayment for 2020 amounted to 385.5 billion hryvnia (about 13.6 billion U.S. dollars), while service payments to 119.6 billion hryvnia (about 4.2 billion U.S. dollars).
