March 14 named as NYC's COVID-19 Remembrance Day

NEW YORK, Dec. 31 (Xinhua) -- March 14 will be COVID-19 Remembrance Day in New York City, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced on Thursday.

The city reported its first novel coronavirus fatality on March 14, 2020, and the event will recognize all the people who have died from the bug, said the mayor.
