FRANKFURT, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged down on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index down 36.74 points, or 0.27 percent, to close at 13,630.51 points.
Reinsurance company Munich Re lost 1.92 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by sportswear and equipment maker Adidas and pharmaceutical company Merck which lost 1.73 percent and 1.58 percent respectively.
