13 Vietnamese arrested in southern Thailand on illegal entry charge

BANGKOK, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- Thirteen Vietnamese nationals were arrested Wednesday on illegal entry charge in southern border area of Thailand, a government official said.

The 13 Vietnamese, including seven males and six females, had illegally slipped across the Thai-Malaysian border through a natural path in the woods. They holed up at a deserted house in Su-ngai Kolok district of Narathiwat Province, provincial governor Chetsada Chitrat said.
